Blochin 81
Britpop-Band aus Berlin, 1996 bis 2000.
Die Band benannte sich in bester "Lads"-Tradition nach dem sowjetischen (ukrainischen) Kult-Fußballer der 70er und 80er Jahre, Oleg Blochin. 2000 kam es zur Umbenennung der Band, Namenspate war nun der polnische Spieler Grzegorz Lato, Torschützenkönig der Fußball-WM 1974. Die fleißige Band mit britischer Beteiligung veröffentlichte eine Reihe EP's mit stilsicherem NeoMod-Britpop auf dem Marsh Marigold Label. Desmond Squire und Martin Petersdorf arbeiten gleichzeitig seit vielen Jahren als Radio-Moderatoren bei "Radio Fritz".
Martin betrieb parallel die Bands/Bandprojekte Avocadoclub (mit Bendrik Muhs) und Copasetic mit Marco Frohn von Michele Baresi. 2007 gründete er das Vinyl-Label Our House, benannt nach einem Song der Britpop-Stars Madness, auf dem ausschließlich Singles erschienen u.a. von Grimm & The Brothers, Ahne & Acapulco Radio und Les Beaux Gosses de Berlin. Gleichzeitig angekündigte neue Releases von Blochin 81 bzw. Lato gab es hier nicht, von letzteren erschien lediglich bereits 2004 eine finale CD-EP unter gleichem Label. Ob das 2009er Album von Blochin 81 auf einer Band-Reunion beruhte, ist hier nicht bekannt.
